Leaf Petal Stem elevating your tea ritual in the greater Houston area.

I wanted to create teas that felt special, blends that offer something unexpected.

Tea has always been more than just a drink to me. It’s a ritual, a moment of calm, a burst of bold flavor that awakens the senses. No matter the season, there’s always a perfect cup—iced and refreshing or warm and comforting. Have you ever found yourself wanting more than what was readily available—more connected to nature, more complexity, more depth, more creativity in every sip, well, that’s why I founded Leaf Petal Stem.

The Story of how Leaf Petal Stem Began.

Leaf Petal Stem began with a simple curiosity: what could happen when we became more intentional about what we put in our cup?

Long before Leaf Petal Stem had a name, I found my way to herbs and tea through my own desire to feel better, slow down, and take better care of myself. I began exploring herbs and teas for their natural benefits, but somewhere along the way, I discovered that I loved the experience just as much as I loved what was in the cup.

After COVID, I started introducing my friends to tea. I would take different big-box teas and mix them together, searching for the flavor profiles I wanted, I called this my specialTEA. It was fun, but I eventually realized that I was compromising the very thing that drew me to herbs and tea in the first place. I wanted quality ingredients. I wanted to understand what I was drinking. And I wanted tea to be both beneficial and genuinely delicious.

That realization planted the seed for Leaf Petal Stem.

In 2024, Leaf Petal Stem was still just a thought. By the summer of 2025, that thought became a mobile tea cart, bringing handcrafted teas and intentional tea experiences to markets, events, and gatherings throughout the community.

The tea cart became our first home—and it is still an important and thriving part of what we do today.

In the spring of 2026, Leaf Petal Stem grew into something I had dreamed about from the beginning: a place of our own.

The Leaf Petal Stem Tea Garden was created to give us room to slow down, pour a cup, and actually sit with our guests. It became a place for intimate conversations, shared tables, workshops, gatherings, and those little moments where strangers become familiar faces. A place where you don't have to rush in and rush out.

Today, Leaf Petal Stem is a modern tea and wellness brand creating small-batch blends and thoughtfully prepared beverages rooted in nature. We work with whole tea leaves, herbs, and spices to create blends that are clean, beautifully composed, flavorful, and approachable. Our goal isn't to make tea feel complicated or overly precious. It's to make it something you genuinely want to drink and something that fits naturally into your life.

But Leaf Petal Stem has grown beyond the cup.

It is the Tea Garden.
It is the tea cart rolling into your next event.
It is a conversation across a table.
It is learning how to whisk matcha.
It is discovering a new tea you didn't know you'd love.
It is gathering with friends, meeting someone new, or simply taking a little time for yourself.

At the heart of it all is intention.

We believe there is value in pausing. In choosing quality. In gathering with people. In creating space for yourself and for others.

Whether you find us at the Tea Garden, at a market with our tea cart, at a private event, or through one of our blends at home, we invite you to slow down, sip something thoughtfully made, and savor the moment.

more notes to savor From our founder

This journey started as a singular cart and now can be enjoyed regularly at the Tea Garden.

Leaf Petal Stem may have started with tea, but my story with it began long before I ever imagined owning a tea company.

I’ve always been drawn to creating beautiful, intentional experiences. Before Leaf Petal Stem, I was the owner and floral designer behind Magnolia Rose Company, where I designed luxury weddings and events. Flowers taught me to pay attention to the details—the texture of a petal, the shape of a stem, the way a space can make you feel when you walk into it.

Tea gave me another way to do the same thing.

I first discovered herbs and teas as a way to care for myself. As I learned more, I became fascinated by the ingredients, the traditions, the flavor profiles, and the simple experience of making time for a cup.

Then I started sharing it with my friends.

I was constantly mixing teas together, experimenting with flavors, and creating my own combinations. I called these creations my specialTEA. What started as something fun eventually became a realization: I wanted to know more about what I was putting in my cup, where it came from, and why quality mattered.

That curiosity eventually became Leaf Petal Stem.

I named the company Leaf Petal Stem because it brings together the two worlds that have shaped me. Leaf represents tea and the natural ingredients at the heart of what we create. Petal and Stem honor my years as a florist and my belief that beauty can be found in the smallest details. And, as a little bonus, all three can be enjoyed through our different tea blends.

But the older I get, the more I realize that creating beautiful things has never really been the point.

Creating spaces where people feel welcome has.

That belief extends to how we communicate, too.

I’m learning American Sign Language because I want communication to be something that opens doors, not something that creates them. It has given me an even greater appreciation for the many ways people connect, communicate, and experience the world.

At Leaf Petal Stem, we want people to feel that they can show up as themselves. Different backgrounds. Different cultures. Different generations. Different ways of communicating. Whether you come in speaking, signing, listening, learning, or simply enjoying a quiet cup of tea, there should be a place for you at our table.

That is what I want the Tea Garden to become.

A place where you can come in by yourself and still feel like you belong. A place where you can have an intimate conversation, meet someone new, learn something, laugh with your friends, or simply sit quietly with a cup of tea.

I believe we all need places where we can slow down and reconnect—with ourselves, with other people, and with the little things we might otherwise rush past.

Leaf Petal Stem is my way of creating that kind of place.

And whether you meet us at the Tea Garden, find our tea cart at an event, join us for a workshop, or take one of our blends home with you, I hope you experience a little of that intention in every sip.
